Morning crafty friends!!

So here is my desk...


Please excuse the peeled off paint from the wall behind, hoping to get round to giving it a fresh coat soon. Anyyyyyyhow from left to right ; flower press I am using to put specimens into my fairy junk journal. Pen, inks, a canvas board I painted like a night sky recently. An ATC book box a lovely lady gave me, I decorated it last night, the tweezers are holding it closed. The ribbon on the right will be used to close it once everything is dry. Atc blank boards and oxides obviously hehe. 




This is the fairy junk journal, it's a chunky beast which I am enjoying writing in. Ontop of it is some spritzed inky journaling cards that are waiting to be popped in the journal.

    It's so lovely to see someone pressing flowers - it seems to have gone out of fashion recently but the results are so pretty! And that ATC box is fab, what a lovely way to store all those amazing atcs!

    Ellie I have never seen flower press before. Not that i can use one as we have very few flowers here as we are on lime stone. Sounds like exciting plans for journals.

    My eldest daughter has one of those presses from when she was very small - she's 21 soon and we were just talking about it the other day - I think I need to get one. An ATC book box, what a brilliant idea - I'll have to look out for those.

    Crikey! Each time I enlarge the photos and come back here I delete what I have said already. It must be a large fairy to have a book so big - bet it is delightful inside. Love the canvas and the atc box.

    Great looking desk to snoop around on! Love the ATC box and the fairy book! I love junk books and call mine trash books cause I take one (and a tube of glue) with me everywhere I travel and fill it up! Hope you are having a great week!     Lovely projects, Ellie, especially the ATC book box. Thank you for your comment and I’m so glad you like my album. My surgery went ahead and I was sent home Sunday. Yesterday though, they readmitted me because of bleeding from my stoma but I’m due to go home this afternoon.

 Good Morning Friends Happy WOYWW! So today, my desk is a tad empty. Yesterday there was no room to move as I had finished the advent swap envelopes.  So I had a trip to Bristol so popped into Hobbycraft to grab a few things, one being this pack on pretty coloured cardstock. I have also been playing with some more acrylic pouring, this was a dirty pour using the left over paint I had from making a gift. I use the spotty paper cups to pour the paint. I just wanted to apologise that I do take a few days to catch up, on reading your lovely blogs. I hope you don't mind as I like to relax with a cuppa and have a read of a few each day. Hello Everyone! Today I have spent the morning sanding drawers for my advent calendar. Lots of dust and sandpaper. See more desks at the stamping ground, click here. Sharing my work desk for the first time today, a lovely friend, Sarah (www.sarahscraftshed.co.uk) told me about it and I was very excited to take part. On yesterday's blog I posted a photo of a background I had created using distress inks, I decided to make something using this colourful piece today. To start I cut the watercolour card in half so I could create two toppers or mixed media pieces. Firstly I used my 'Phill Martin Sentimentally yours' background stamp called 'Splatterlicious cracked & splattered background'. I love this stamp, I never use it on a block or using a stamp platform. Happy Wednesday ! My second time posting for WOYWW and I am really enjoying myself, if you want to take part pop over to this pace. Its great fun seeing each others desks and crafty mess haha. This is my desk, a mess I know hehe! Okay, so working left to right on the first picture. Lots of ribbon on the left and a little jar of metal embellishments, a tub of bows, stick pins, mdf butterflies, a round box covered with vintage style tissue paper, small flowers and gems. Lastly on the right is adhesive glitter paper. This is a closer view, with all the goodies on my desk I decorated the box lid. So now I start being crafty if you would like to see the step by step, please read on. So to begin, I ripped some of the glitter adhesive paper into strips and stuck them randomly on the box.
