Grungy - Halloween series #8

Image
Good Afternoon all! So today I'm sharing a Halloween card I made using some bits I had extra of or were lying around. I searched in my background pages drawer and came across this dark, grunge effect sheet. This was made using water with some distress inks and smearing the colour on against my glass mat. Then from a recent Indigoblu magazine, I selected a stamp that matches the effect I was going for. I stamped it using Versafine onyx black ink.  From some stamped and coloured images I made in advance, I fussy cut some leaf clusters. Seperating each leaf, I arranged them on the opposite corner to the stamping. These leaves were coloured using Zig Kuretake clean colour real brush markers.  I adhered my leaves using collall glue, I chose to make them have the appearance of falling. Finally I backed this topper onto deep Aubergine Cardstock leaving a small border. If you wished to, a small halloween sentiment could be heat embossed on the right side of the card also.  ...

Trees and tags

Image
Evening to you all. I have been spending the evening making more batches of tags for the Craft fair in December. I am having good fun making some tags that aren't Christmas related too! This is going to be the centre point on the front of some more tags. These are the generic ones to be used year round. I used my 'wink of Stella clear glitter pen on top of the jellyfish image. It's so sparkly but I don't think the camera has really picked it up. Everyone needs a glitter pen like this, I love mine. The stamp set used on this centre piece is 'so jelly by lawn fawn and 'tiny sayings ' by Lawn fawn also. Such cute little sets. Yesterday I recieved my order from Anna Marie designs. This was my trees to finish off my advent calendar. So I have painted them with green acrylic paint. This step was incredibly messy, I don't know how but I ended out with paint on my neck, face and clothes. Once painted and dry, I applied Super thick slap it on ( Indigoblu)...

Well hello there! For this step by step I have been using the art journal prompts from the Mission Inspiration Facebook page, they are also on YouTube if you need a few more ideas where to start, Hop over and have a look, its great fun! I will go through each prompt and explain what I have done for the prompt, if you would like to see the original prompts without my step by step swing by their Facebook page. 1. I got a piece of craft cardstock, then ripped pieces of newspaper text and applied them across my page using matt mod podge( I LOVE MATT MOD PODGE) ! 2. Next I used my Picked Raspberry distress ink, I smeared it onto my glass mat and added water to it. I then brushed the ink all over my page. I then dried this with a heat tool before starting with my Cosmic shimmer paint. 2. I used my cosmic shimmer paint down the left side and bottom of my page, I didn't apply it carefully as I wanted brush strokes for texture. I again dried with a heat tool...
