My little toilet roll, handbag size notebook.

Good Afternoon Lovelies! So here is a step by step of how to make this little book with black pages. To begin I took a toilet roll and folded it flat, then cut along one side to open it out.   I used black gesso to paint the front and back. I misted the front with a shimmer mist. Next I cut some black cardstock to size.  Using a couple of stitches I sewed the pages into the spine of the booklet. To decorate I used some polka dot ribbon tape along the creases in the toilet roll cardboard. I adhered silver gems at opposite corners and finished up, with some drops either side of a black and white ribbon. I used cosmic shimmer glue for the details on the front. The finished product. I do hope you all give this a try. Cute, quick and easy! Thank you for spending some of your day with me! Crafty hugs! Ellie x

Good Evening friends! It's been freezing cold here today so the fire is lit now. To continue with my piece I stamped a moon fairy by Clarity stamp. I used black Momento ink and coloured using colour pencils on white cardstock. I then fussy cut this out using my tonic spring loaded scissors. Please visit clarity stamp here . I adhered it using Cosmic shimmer acrylic glue and have left it to dry. I will be finishing this project off tomorrow as I don't want to rush it and ruin it. Have a fab evening everyone. Thank you for spending some of your day with me. Crafty hugs and see you tomorrow. Ellie x

Now I'm getting there!

Hello again, today I have been busy trying to get organised for Christmas. I have now finished my Christmas card making and will show you, how I have made the second batch of tags for the presents. I have used Tonic verso Essential dies. The two sets I have used are 'Smile' and 'Just for you'. To begin I selected the outer edge die, the outer detail die and a small inner rounded square die. All three of those dies come in the 'Smile' die set. The sentiment I used in the centre of the tag came from the 'Just for you' die set. I use a small strip of washi tape, place it on my jeans and peel it off. This ensures that my patterned paper doesn't get torn. I stick the tape across the back of the three dies to keep them at my chosen distance apart. I selected some lovely patterned papers from Docrafts paper pads. Once lots of the papers were cut using my three dies, I took the outer rounded spare from the three dies and cut that through so...

Mop up pages and left overs

Hello ! I hope you are all having a good Friday. I am very pleased to say the advent drawers are finished, the numbers are on and I am very happy with them. I started to decorate inside the little display section today. I used white gesso with a little water and flicked it on using a paint brush. I am now waiting on my mdf arrivals to make the scene with.   Those of you that saw Wednesdays blog, I made two texture paste toppers, while doing this I had some left over paste so instead of wasting it, I spread it onto a scrap of card using a stencil. Looking at this mop up sheet today I decided on attempting to turn it into a card using autumn colours. So I cut it down to a topper size so the edges look tidy.  I have included a close up of the mop up sheet as the shimmer is gorgeous! So to get started I had a rummage through my dies and selected a couple. All of which are tonic. The deco edges square in the centre and the small sentiment is from To...
