Hello Retro!

Hello Papercrafters,   How are we already half way into another week, this year is disappearing before I have chance to blink! I have been working on this cute little card, using products from my recent haul. If you would like to watch my crafty hauls, head over to my youtube channel.  This card is giving me retro 70's vibes, anyone else think so?   Products I used:  Simon Says Stamp Hello Die Concord & 9th Mod Turnabout Stamp Distress Oxide inks - Spiced Marmalade, Antique Linen, Peeled Paint and Faded Jeans Sentimentally Yours Charming Squares Die Set Zig Wink Of Stella Brush Pen       Method: The first step in making this card, was using the turnabout stamp, these are great fun and easy to use. Boo!! Halloween series #9

Good evening crafty friends! So tonight I wanted to share a simple Halloween card with you all! The cute pumpkins were cut using my Cricut explore air 1. I coloured them using my zig kuretake clean colour real brush markers using a water brush to blend the colours.  After cutting a square from plain white card, I inked it using my cosmic shimmer chalk cloud blending inks. I applied a grey using a blending sponge. Once dry I glued the pumpkins to the bottom half of the card and trimmed off the excess. With a white gelly roll pen, I wrote out the word "Boo!". I accented the word with a glittery gelly roll pen. I adhered this panel to some scrap patterned paper using collall glue. To finish up, this was all glued to a white card base. I'm loving using my new machine I cannot wait to have a proper look at all the SVG cut files available. Thank you for spending some of your day with me.  Ellie x Products: Zig Markers Cricut cutting machine Gelly roll pens Chalk cloud ink Sent...

Hello Everyone! Today I have spent the morning sanding drawers for my advent calendar. Lots of dust and sandpaper. See more desks at the stamping ground, click here. Sharing my work desk for the first time today, a lovely friend, Sarah (www.sarahscraftshed.co.uk) told me about it and I was very excited to take part. If anyone else would like to join in head over to the link I posted above and get involved every Wednesday. On yesterday's blog I posted a photo of a background I had created using distress inks, I decided to make something using this colourful piece today. To start I cut the watercolour card in half so I could create two toppers or mixed media pieces. Firstly I used my 'Phill Martin Sentimentally yours' background stamp called 'Splatterlicious cracked & splattered background'. I love this stamp, I never use it on a block or using a stamp platform. I find I get wonderful effects just holding it and pressing certain areas into the ink, the...
