WOYWW 592

 Good Morning Friends

Happy WOYWW!

So today, my desk is a tad empty. Yesterday there was no room to move as I had finished the advent swap envelopes.

So I had a trip to Bristol so popped into Hobbycraft to grab a few things, one being this pack on pretty coloured cardstock. I have also been playing with some more acrylic pouring, this was a dirty pour using the left over paint I had from making a gift. I use the spotty paper cups to pour the paint.

I just wanted to apologise that I do take a few days to catch up, on reading your lovely blogs. I hope you don't mind as I like to relax with a cuppa and have a read of a few each day. Speaking of a cuppa I am enjoying a coffee right now, ready to start the day.

If you want to join in with this desk madness, head over too The Stamping Ground!

Thank you for spending some of your day with me.

Ellie x

  1. That acrylic pouring was very successful, though the fact you call it a dirty pouring made me hoot! I understand what you mean, it just tickled me :-). The new papers look great, hope you enjoy playing with them. My nearest Hobbycraft is in a lockdown area so I shan't be visiting for a whil, sigh....

  2. I bought re-usable cups to take to the coffee shop but with the current Covid business we cannot use them. As a consequence we are collecting lots of takeaway coffee cups - these are very useful for pouring! And also for mixing fibre glass which my husband was doing!
    Nice pour!

  3. Hi Ellie, we used to live near Bristol but moved to the West Midlands a few years ago - I'm intimately acquainted with HobbyCraft at Cribbs if that's where you went to. No HobbyCrafts near me now, but I can order online. Love your pour - I find if I start I have to do several canvases, otherwise it's not worth making a mess - but it's also so addictive! One of these days I'll get back into it! Have a creative week! xx zsuzsa #22

  5. Another acrylic pour! that's two today, gorgeous too. It really doesn't matter how long it takes for you to visit, better late than never as they say. I do buy things from Hobbycraft and have always been quite pleased with their card. We do have one here now but hardly been to it this year well not at all actually but then I've hardly been to any shops apart from the Supermarket can't think why! Have a lovely week and a very happy and safe woyww, Angela x16x .

  6. Hi Ellie, love the pour, really must get round to this, as I have a drawer full of acrylic paints! We also have a Hobbycrafts not too far from us, the cardstock looks like a great buy, They do have some good bargains occasionally. I'd just be happier if they stocked more stamps from British manufacturers. Stay safe, Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 X

  13. Hi Ellie! I am exactly the same way. I don't like to rush through and visit all the blogs on Wednesday. I like to visit a few each day but I do it with a cup of tea! So no worries. This is the second time I have heard of pouring. I never heard of the technique before but am very intrigued as the results are beautiful. Have a lovely week and I hope you can fit me in your visits this week.

  17. I have to spread my visits too Ellie, here I am on Saturday night living my rock n roll life! I wonder if you found Zsazsu’s blog yet, you pourers will like it. I must say that the pink dirty pour is quite lovely, I imagine a dirty pour as a sludge coloured mud pattern!!

  18. I love the acrylic pouring, Ellie! Maybe one day I shall be brave enough to try it... Like you, I like to go through the WOYWW blogs a few at a time, because there are so many that I can't do them all at once. There are always so many other things demanding my attention and I'd rather spend quality time doing them than trying to rush through them. I also really like getting comments throughout the week rather than all in a rush! That way the whole WOYWW experience is ongoing, rather than just one day a week!

Thank you for your visit, and I hope your eyes have recovered after looking at my lamp haha! It really is extremely bright... So glad you are enjoying the tiny carpets project. Last night I completed the first two needle books and I will be blogging about them this week.

    Happy belated WOYWW,
