Finally a new craft room!

Image
Good Morning Crafty Friends!! So as many of you know I moved house as I mentioned in my last post, i finally have a basic craft room. It isn't complete by any means but its my space and I love it.  This year has been insane as it has been for many of you, so having a space to craft and step away is just what i needed. We also have a new addition to our little family, we have a lurcher pup who is now 13 weeks old. He is crazy but certainly brings many laughs which is well needed.  This is only a brief post to check in on you guys but fingers crossed these posts may become more regular now I have a pc set up in my craft space. Below is a picture of a card I made for my mothers birthday, its simple but nice and colourful.  Thank you for spending some of your day with me! Ellie x

I used the mister next to cover the page with purple shimmer. (I'm shimmery too after this step :p ) Using white acrylic I used a sponge and dabbed the paint randomly through the stencil. With both my oxide colours I pressed areas on the stamp, again randomly across the page. The page so far... I...

Hello Everyone! Today I have spent the morning sanding drawers for my advent calendar. Lots of dust and sandpaper. See more desks at the stamping ground, click here. Sharing my work desk for the first time today, a lovely friend, Sarah (www.sarahscraftshed.co.uk) told me about it and I was very excited to take part. If anyone else would like to join in head over to the link I posted above and get involved every Wednesday. On yesterday's blog I posted a photo of a background I had created using distress inks, I decided to make something using this colourful piece today. To start I cut the watercolour card in half so I could create two toppers or mixed media pieces. Firstly I used my 'Phill Martin Sentimentally yours' background stamp called 'Splatterlicious cracked & splattered background'. I love this stamp, I never use it on a block or using a stamp platform. I find I get wonderful effects just holding it and pressing certain areas into the ink, the...
