Grungy - Halloween series #8

Image
Good Afternoon all! So today I'm sharing a Halloween card I made using some bits I had extra of or were lying around. I searched in my background pages drawer and came across this dark, grunge effect sheet. This was made using water with some distress inks and smearing the colour on against my glass mat. Then from a recent Indigoblu magazine, I selected a stamp that matches the effect I was going for. I stamped it using Versafine onyx black ink.  From some stamped and coloured images I made in advance, I fussy cut some leaf clusters. Seperating each leaf, I arranged them on the opposite corner to the stamping. These leaves were coloured using Zig Kuretake clean colour real brush markers.  I adhered my leaves using collall glue, I chose to make them have the appearance of falling. Finally I backed this topper onto deep Aubergine Cardstock leaving a small border. If you wished to, a small halloween sentiment could be heat embossed on the right side of the card also.  ...

Afternoon crafty friends! Happy WOYWW, I can't believe how this week has flown by. To visit more crafty desks for inspiration swing by and see Julia at the stamping ground . My desk isn't very busy today as I have been doing a bit of sofa crafting. So on my desk, from left to right, a project from a previous blog post in the top left corner. A pack of wet wipes, a wet wipe I used to clean a stamp with. A project I am half way through and my two new Tombo mono erasers. Nothing too exciting hehe . So today I have been painting and watercolouring and stamping. Thank you for spending some of your day with me! Crafty hugs and happy WOYWW! Ellie x

I've been poorly

Evening friends! Sorry I missed the past 2 days blog, I really wasnt well so didn't get round to any crafting. I would like to share a small canvas board I have made a start on though. This is the board so far and I shall hopefully finish it tomorrow. So these are the products I have used up.tp this point. First of all I painted the white canvas board using distress ink and water. This diluted the colour I brushed across the board using the darkest colour to the lightest. Next I tore some patterned paper into strips and stuck them down using Matt mod podge. I then mixed some copper pixie powder into my super thick slap it on by Indigoblu. I applied this copper slap it on using my palette knife. My board is dry now so I shall continue this tomorrow. Thank you for spending some of your day with me. Crafty hugs and see you tomorrow! Ellie x

A little happy post

Hey!! I got some happy post today woo hoo! I recieved my Tombo Mono sand erasers that I ordered from Amazon UK. This is my first time buying these so am super excited to try them out, I have heard lots of good feedback from them. I shall let you know how I find them once I give them a try. Also this evening we put up and decorated the Christmas tree, I'm feeling festive. LOVE IT! My attempt at crafting today turning into a mess in my opinion, although I won't throw it out, I will look at it again tomorrow and see if I have a crafty idea. My Jack Russell journal page was looking good until I got the glitter out. I'm obsessed. First I used my bee crafty bubble wrap stamp, I inked it up with picked raspberry and broken China. I stamped all over my page and let it dry. Then something possessed me to use my cosmic shimmer glitter glue and apply loads of bronze glitter. I need to control myself. I buffed some of the glitter off and still wasn't thrilled. So I am g...
