Finally a new craft room!

Image
Good Morning Crafty Friends!! So as many of you know I moved house as I mentioned in my last post, i finally have a basic craft room. It isn't complete by any means but its my space and I love it.  This year has been insane as it has been for many of you, so having a space to craft and step away is just what i needed. We also have a new addition to our little family, we have a lurcher pup who is now 13 weeks old. He is crazy but certainly brings many laughs which is well needed.  This is only a brief post to check in on you guys but fingers crossed these posts may become more regular now I have a pc set up in my craft space. Below is a picture of a card I made for my mothers birthday, its simple but nice and colourful.  Thank you for spending some of your day with me! Ellie x

Playing around making backgrounds..

Hello !! Today I spent the afternoon having a mess around with a few products and made a couple of backgrounds. For the first background I used three of my cosmic shimmer paints, I put a small blob of each and used the brayer making the colours blend. The shimmer in these paints is gorgeous!! For my second background I used a stamp set by Clarity and used one leaf stamp . I stamped this single stamp image using Memento dewdrop ink pads in pink and purple. On some of the leaf impressions I used both ink pads at the same time to create a different effect. I stamped the leaf all over my card panel and I really like the finished result, its pa...

Afternoon All! Those of you who read yesterdays blog will know I am mid creating some bottle lanterns. So to continue on with that, today I added a second coat of the Pebeo DYNA acrylic paint. Its such rich and shimmery paint, everyone needs it! Now I will leave that second coat to dry overnight again. Next I used a set of my chocolate baroque stamps, I stamped them using versafine black onyx ink and clear wow embossing powder. Once all the stamped images are melted and smooth with the embossing powder, I next move onto the fussy cutting. The beautiful stamps from chocolate baroque can be found here To cut out my lovely fairy images, I used my Tonic spring loaded scissors as they are very easy to fussy cut with. I decided to leave a small white border around each image as I want them to 'pop' against the pink background. . After taking a few minutes to sit and cut all the stamped images out, they are all ready to stick onto my bot...
