WOYWW 599!!
Good afternoon crafty friends!!
Time for some more sharing of desks, my favourite part of a Wednesday!
To join in with this kind community head over to The Stamping Ground, run by the lovely Julia.
So above is my desk currently, just decided to light a candle, since this time of year is perfect for it. I adore candles and have been loving burning them as the nights draw in. Anyone else a candle addict?
So also on my desk is a Greggs cappuccino I grabbed this morning as I needed to pop into work at 7:30am. Far to early to be expected to function !
There's a selection of stamped, coloured and fussy cut Christmas images, these will be used in my Christmas cards. Some friends have already made theirs and are posting them today, that most definitely makes me panic!
Everything seems to be creeping up so fast and I am not even ready, however I am glad I will be able to spend my birthday and Christmas with my family. I hope you will all be able to do the same too.
So quite a few of you mentioned our pups name 'Lyrax', so its the name of a dragon in old Mythology and my OH loved it and it certainly suits the crazy hound. So now we have Lyrax (the lurcher pup) and Annie (the 8yr old Jack Russell).
I coloured the stamped images using Zig clean colour, real brush markers. I love them, they blend so beautifully. My card list this year is awfully short which makes me sad, if anyone would like to exchange xmas cards , please let me know in a comment and I will give you my fb information, to swap details.
We are off out for a walk along the dunes and beach since therapy was very hard on me today. I will be sure to pop round all the desks through the week. I hope you are all well and staying safe!
Ellie x
I am not sending many cards this year either Ellie. Love the stamped images and the clean colour brush pens are great (I only have 12). Woof to Lyrax and Annie, stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah.#2
ReplyDeleteAwww they woof back to you :) x
DeleteAs I adore receiving Christmas cards, I feel it’s only fair to send them too. So I’ve enjoyed making (and buying) them and am writing them bit by bit. I love the name Lyrax, perfect for a lurcher ❤️

Aww thank you, his name certainly suits him x
DeleteI usually end up sending quite a lot of cards but every year I think I'll cut some back... but it's only fair to reciprocate so keep on going!! take care and stay safe. Helen #3
ReplyDeletestay safe too, a card is important, especially now, give people a smile. That's what I think anyway xx
DeleteHi Ellie, as you'll see from my blog post, happy to hear that about the Zig pens! Have a mountain of cards to write over the next few days, or I'm going to miss the International posting dates! Stay safe, have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #10 X
ReplyDeleteOh no, I imagine the postage is a bit all over the place currently x
DeleteHi Ellie. You are going to be busy with all those little images! Goodness. I confess I send a good number of cards - and love receiving them. I usually hand deliver most of them, taking a few days out to travel around to visit family and friends in areas where we have previously lived. This year, though, all are going in the mail, even those who live fairly locally. Hope you get them all finished, and that you had a great walk across the dunes and sand. Bliss!!!
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Its a shame you wont see your friends but at least you know you are keeping yourself and them safe x
DeleteYes it's the perfect time of year for lighting candles, so many lovely fragrances around now. You've done a grand job with those zig pens, great for colouring smaller areas. Have fun putting your cards together, no matter how many you send it's the thought that counts and the love you have put into creating them. Take care & happy WoywW Tracey #12
ReplyDeleteIve even asked for more candles for my bday! x
DeleteI love candles but they do scare me a bit which is probably silly but I just fear that I will knock them over and with all that paper about Lol! Loving all those fussy cut pieces and hope we get to see the cards. I love Zig brush markers and use them lots. Wishing you a lovely creative week and a happy woyww, Angela x17x
ReplyDeleteYes the markers are fantastic, they blend beautifully too x
DeleteLyrax is so unusual a name. We have an Annie, a miniature poodle as well as her daughter, Red; Jack is half Shelton and the baby of the family Dolly, my chihuahua. She was already called Dolly and although I came up with several names, my OH wanted to keep her name! I would love to exchange Christmas cards with you. I love candles too. We have several burning in the evening and I have a lavender scented one in my craft room. This time of year I have cinnamon and apple ones. A belated happy WOYWW Angela #25
ReplyDeleteAwww thank you Angela. your puppers sound adorable. You can either add me on fb and I will message you ? or you can drop me an email if you would prefer. My name on fb is Ellie Cridland . I have far too many candles but will be buying more. x
DeleteI am looking forward to seeing the completed project! The elements on your desk are beautifully done!

Thank you so much x
DeleteOh your fussy cutting is great, how patient you are! I’m very late, so hope your walk blew awake y the badness of the day. I drink Americano (not a fan of hot milk) but have to say that Greggs coffee is one of the nicest on the high street in my opinion. And half the price of most! and if you need to be anywhere by 730 in the morning, you deserve a nice coffee! My husband has ‘a chest’ which causes him to grumble when candles are lit, so they are a rare treat in this house, I think if he were ‘normal’, I’d have tons of them!
ReplyDeleteYes I agree about Greggs coffee being lovely. Sorry Im replying to late, the days are flying by and I am trying to catch up haha x
DeleteI like candles, too, Ellie, but don't often light them - always afraid if I leave them unattended the kitties might knock them over or something. I love fussy cutting! There's something quite satisfying and relaxing about it, and it's a job that can be done from the comfort of the recliner too. Sorry the treatment took it out of you a bit.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #9
I know what you mean, I make sure they are out of reach of the doggos. x
DeleteThanks for your return visit, Ellie - glad you enjoyed the content!
DeleteSorry I'm late! for last weeks WOYWW. I've been cutting out too...even though I had the die for one of the things, it didn't cut it out properly! Yes, I love candles onlt hubby seems to think I'll set everything on fire wit all my paper! Stay Safe!
