WOYWW - 481 -22.8.18- what a mess...



Good morning crafty friends! I hope this week is a good one for you. If you would like to do some sharing, of the desk variety please head over to the hub of activity.

So yes, been a rough week at this end but at least I've done some crafty. I start with a clear desk and end with a 2x2 space to work in. I never learn.

So left to right; handmade rosettes for gifts, potion bottle for my halloween goodie bags k haven't started yet. Handmade little decorated flag to give as embellishments for the recipients to use. New mega glittery pencil case I filled with washi. Cuppa, rainbow post it notes, more flags and I think that's it. 


New bucket for smaller scraps on the left. I use these scraps for the flags and rosettes.

Big shot plus with a box I decorated and filled with mini rosettes at a gift.

So, yep, that's my desk for this week, thank you so much for spending some of your day with me.

    You're a girl after my own heart - a mega glittery pencil case sounds just the ticket!! Everything looks very fresh and pretty on your desk today, even if you are working in the smallest of space in the centre!

    HI again Ellie. Oh yes, Hubby is an enabler Extraordinaire! Well known for it amongst the WOYWWers, lol. I do know most crafters would kill to have a Hubby like that. It actually all started after I had my bowel surgery back in 2015. I've been crafting for about 15 years,and often went to craft shows and suchlike, on my own. Hubby would have some quiet gaming time, lol. Then, when I came out of hospital, I wanted to go to the next Hobbycrafts show in Birmingham, but Hubby was really worried that I might faint/fall/get worn out, so he said he'd come with me. He actually enjoyed himself, getting to know the crafters I knew, and the company owners I knew, then paying a lot of attention to the products. Thats when he started pointing out stuff he liked, that he thought I'd like too. Now, when we go to a craft store etc, I have to watch HIM like a hawk- stuff ends up in my basket all the time.Shopping with him, I am totally spending way more than I ever did on my own. What a problem to have, eh? Love & Hugs, Shaz X

    Sorry to be late Ellie, and more sorry to read that you've had a difficult week. It's pants being a grown up sometimes isn't it. Your desk is a symphony of pastels, everything matches, even your mug, erm, unicorn, erm mug....! Love that you're gathering stuff like potion bottles but haven't actually started anything yet...I like a display of intent!

 Good Morning Friends Happy WOYWW! So today, my desk is a tad empty. Yesterday there was no room to move as I had finished the advent swap envelopes.  So I had a trip to Bristol so popped into Hobbycraft to grab a few things, one being this pack on pretty coloured cardstock. I have also been playing with some more acrylic pouring, this was a dirty pour using the left over paint I had from making a gift. I use the spotty paper cups to pour the paint. I just wanted to apologise that I do take a few days to catch up, on reading your lovely blogs. I hope you don't mind as I like to relax with a cuppa and have a read of a few each day. Hello Everyone! Today I have spent the morning sanding drawers for my advent calendar. Lots of dust and sandpaper. See more desks at the stamping ground, click here. Sharing my work desk for the first time today, a lovely friend, Sarah (www.sarahscraftshed.co.uk) told me about it and I was very excited to take part. On yesterday's blog I posted a photo of a background I had created using distress inks, I decided to make something using this colourful piece today. To start I cut the watercolour card in half so I could create two toppers or mixed media pieces. Happy Wednesday ! My second time posting for WOYWW and I am really enjoying myself, if you want to take part pop over to this pace. Its great fun seeing each others desks and crafty mess haha. This is my desk, a mess I know hehe! Okay, so working left to right on the first picture. Lots of ribbon on the left and a little jar of metal embellishments, a tub of bows, stick pins, mdf butterflies, a round box covered with vintage style tissue paper, small flowers and gems. Lastly on the right is adhesive glitter paper. This is a closer view, with all the goodies on my desk I decorated the box lid. So now I start being crafty if you would like to see the step by step, please read on. So to begin, I ripped some of the glitter adhesive paper into strips and stuck them randomly on the box.
