WOYWW 441 - 15.11.17
Good morning desky friends,
The weeks are flying by, its going to be Christmas before I know it. If you would like to share your desk with the others, click here to access Julia's page, the centre of all desking.
So far my desk is looking very empty, I haven't started crafting yet today, my partner had yesterday off so spent the day with him.
Working left to right across the photo, my gromit coaster I got in Bristol, a natural sponge I used on my lanterns, my tonic scissors that are ideal for fussy cutting because they are springe loaded. Some mdf Christmas shapes, my ugly wilko glue I covered with sparkle paper, tester paints in green that I decorated my advent with, another sponge and my water pot. An empty jar, a box I decorated at a crafternoon tea party, an art journal, on my desk is a little experiment I tried, will explain below. Lasty is my big shot on the right hand side.
I have a tag swap I am taking part in, I think I shall get started on that today as I am feeling crafty!
So onto this little tester piece, I was playing with my Pixie powders the other day and thought "I wonder what would happen if I covered a page with PVA and put pixies on top". yep you guessed it, I had a go. I left it to dry overnight and its set the pixies and they look encapsulated within the dry glue, very different texture.
So that wraps up today, off to do some crafting and look at the other desks, thank you all for making me feel so welcome.
Thank you for spending some of your day with me!
Crafty hugs and see you tomorrow.

Ooh, I've never tried that method with Pixie Powders. Thanks for sharing Ellie and happy WOYWW. Sarah #10
ReplyDeleteThank Sarah. Happy woyww xxx
DeleteI love the idea of your covering the ugly glue with nice paper. Great!
ReplyDeleteLove your experiment, now what are you going to use that for? Any more ugly bottles to cover or have you something special in mind.
Thanks for visiting me.
Hugs, Neet xx
Thanks Neet! I think I may use it in a journal page but inspiration hasn't struck quite yet hehe xxx thanks for stopping by
DeleteHi Ellie, I really must do more with my Pixie Powders, not had them out for ages. I'm interested to see how you use this paper. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy woyww, Angela x11x

Thank you Sue! Is that you dog in your photo? Haven't got my glasses on 😂😂 xxx
DeleteWhat a lovely neat desk - I like your experiment with Pixie powders - that's a great effect. I don't have any Pixie powders but I do have Brusho's and like the idea of gluing them as they go everywhere and the glue might 'tame' them a bit!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week, sorry I'm late getting round (as usual!)

Hi Diana! Thank you for popping to my blog. Yes that's what I was thinking with the pixies, I didn't want as much of an explosion that water causes. Have a good week.

Love your background. Stampin' UP is coming out with something in our Spring catty. Wonder if they'll work like the pixies. Hmmm Is there a tutorial I can look at?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit. Glad to meet another planner girl! Creative Blessings! Kelly #29
