What's on your work desk Wednesday 590

 Good Morning!

I hope you are all well and staying safe.

It's has been quite some time since I have been able to take part in this weekly tradition. I really have missed it.

On my desk today, there is a bit of a mixture going on. I'm mid way through a few things and don't have enough time in the day. 

There is a canvas that I have recently tried acrylic pouring on. It's great fun!

I'm also painting a picture frame for a project I've just started. 

I have a collection of cut images in a heap aswell. These are from my Cricut machine and I am loving owning one of these finally. Most of these will be going on cards for my Halloween series.

    I love pouring - and those colours are lovely! I am waiting for some more things to pour onto...it is such a drag when the shops are not open and things take such a long time in the post!!

    HeyEllie, good to see you! so is the canvas finished or is the pour to be a background for something else? Check out ZsaZsu’s blog, Inkydinkydoodle.blogspot.co.uk, she went through a really inspirational period of acrylic pouring. Love the pumpkins, well done on the apricot, aren’t cutting machines just so useful!

    I am assuming that is your paint pouring project (gosh that is almost a tongue twister) in the bottom left corner - looks very nice. Something i keep intending to try but never have got around to as yet. Guess I am like you - not enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to.

    I've been fascinated by acrylic pouring for ages, and have watched loads of videos on it, but have never plucked up enough courage to try it - it looks uber-messy lol lol!! Love your colour combo. Thank you for visiting and leaving a nice comment. I'm making good progress on Tiny Carpet #4, working on the central motifs which involves quite a bit of thread counting, but then it will be a doddle filling in. Yes, it was awful about the gate post but my hubby has done a great job and it's nearly all done now - just waiting to get the broken gate bracket sorted.

    Acrylic pouring is fun, quite exciting as the cells develop. I have only had one go at it and my paint was too thick, it took gays to dry. I am wondering what the picture frame is for after you have painted it, perhaps you will show us next time. I love the name of your blog! Angela #23

    oh, and for your questiong "what is a chronicle journal"... The “Chronicles” are handmade visual year-journals in which I create a weekly spread. On the pages I comment and reflect my days or just try to capture the week in words and pictures.     I got totally addicted to acrylic pouring last winter! I couldn't sleep I was so excited about it LOL. The another project came along and I put it aside. Messy business, isn't it? I've been meaning to take it up again - still have loads of PVA glue left. You seem to have got some good results - wouldn't mind seeing it closer! Thanks for your visit, Ellie!  Good Morning Friends Happy WOYWW! So today, my desk is a tad empty. Yesterday there was no room to move as I had finished the advent swap envelopes.  So I had a trip to Bristol so popped into Hobbycraft to grab a few things, one being this pack on pretty coloured cardstock. I have also been playing with some more acrylic pouring, this was a dirty pour using the left over paint I had from making a gift. I use the spotty paper cups to pour the paint. I just wanted to apologise that I do take a few days to catch up, on reading your lovely blogs. I hope you don't mind as I like to relax with a cuppa and have a read of a few each day. Hello Everyone! Today I have spent the morning sanding drawers for my advent calendar. Lots of dust and sandpaper. See more desks at the stamping ground, click here. Sharing my work desk for the first time today, a lovely friend, Sarah (www.sarahscraftshed.co.uk) told me about it and I was very excited to take part. On yesterday's blog I posted a photo of a background I had created using distress inks, I decided to make something using this colourful piece today. To start I cut the watercolour card in half so I could create two toppers or mixed media pieces. Happy Wednesday ! My second time posting for WOYWW and I am really enjoying myself, if you want to take part pop over to this pace. Its great fun seeing each others desks and crafty mess haha. This is my desk, a mess I know hehe! Okay, so working left to right on the first picture. Lots of ribbon on the left and a little jar of metal embellishments, a tub of bows, stick pins, mdf butterflies, a round box covered with vintage style tissue paper, small flowers and gems. Lastly on the right is adhesive glitter paper. This is a closer view, with all the goodies on my desk I decorated the box lid. So now I start being crafty if you would like to see the step by step, please read on. So to begin, I ripped some of the glitter adhesive paper into strips and stuck them randomly on the box.
