Image

A few tiny makes from my coloured images

Image
Evening friends! Sorry about not blogging yesterday, I didn't have any time to craft unfortunately. So this evening I used some of the coloured image I shared recently to make small toppers, these can also be used as tags. Both stamped images are by Clarity stamps. So to start both of the example off, I fussy cut the stamped images. Next I used distress ink on the toadstool image and artistry ink on the owl image. I used a blending tool to apply the inks to a white piece of card. I stuck the images using Cosmic shimmer acrylic glue. To complete the toadstool image I added nuvo drops and ran a pink pen around the edges. To complete the owl design, I die cut a stitched circle by lawn fawn from the inked background. Next flicked water at the inked circle and blotted with kitchen roll. This lifts the ink leaving a splattered effect. I then adhered my owl and drew a branch using ink and a paintbrush.  Thank you for spending some of your day with me. Crafty hugs and se

Afternoon crafty friends! Happy WOYWW, I can't believe how this week has flown by. To visit more crafty desks for inspiration swing by and see Julia at the stamping ground . My desk isn't very busy today as I have been doing a bit of sofa crafting. So on my desk, from left to right, a project from a previous blog post in the top left corner. A pack of wet wipes, a wet wipe I used to clean a stamp with. A project I am half way through and my two new Tombo mono erasers. Nothing too exciting hehe . So today I have been painting and watercolouring and stamping. Thank you for spending some of your day with me! Crafty hugs and happy WOYWW! Ellie x

Canvas board part 2...

Image
Good Evening friends! It's been freezing cold here today so the fire is lit now. To continue with my piece I stamped a moon fairy by Clarity stamp. I used black Momento ink and coloured using colour pencils on white cardstock. I then fussy cut this out using my tonic spring loaded scissors. Please visit clarity stamp here . I adhered it using Cosmic shimmer acrylic glue and have left it to dry. I will be finishing this project off tomorrow as I don't want to rush it and ruin it. Have a fab evening everyone. Thank you for spending some of your day with me. Crafty hugs and see you tomorrow. Ellie x

I've been poorly

Image
Evening friends! Sorry I missed the past 2 days blog, I really wasnt well so didn't get round to any crafting. I would like to share a small canvas board I have made a start on though. This is the board so far and I shall hopefully finish it tomorrow. So these are the products I have used up.tp this point. First of all I painted the white canvas board using distress ink and water. This diluted the colour I brushed across the board using the darkest colour to the lightest. Next I tore some patterned paper into strips and stuck them down using Matt mod podge. I then mixed some copper pixie powder into my super thick slap it on by Indigoblu. I applied this copper slap it on using my palette knife. My board is dry now so I shall continue this tomorrow. Thank you for spending some of your day with me. Crafty hugs and see you tomorrow! Ellie x

A fairy field...

Image
Hello friends! Today I got crafting and making a fairy field frame. This frame was varnished when I bought it so when I painted it with black gesso, it resisted a little. I love the effect it gave though. I dried the gesso using my heat tool. I then selected some toadstools by Inkylicious and also painted them black. I wanted it to look like a silhouette. I had a little ornament fairy which would be perfect for this.I attached the fairy and toadstools using my glue gun. While this dried I started to make my magical background night sky. I used my distress oxides on some A6 cardstock. I die cut a circle from my lawn fawn stitched circle dies and inked it with the oxides again. I used this circle as my moon. For some depth I used a small toadstool stamp across the bottom of the page using versafine onyx black ink. Once the ink was dry and the moon attached I cut this down to size and assembled the frame back again. To finish off I added some nuvo glitter drops all over to

Sorting out the scraps box..

Image
Hello to you all! Today has been a strange day but I managed to sort through my scrap box, my goodness it was overflowing! I took this opportunity to die cut lots of little dies using some of the scrap pieces. I thought it would be handy to have some die cut pieces ready to use. Today I also helped my partners mother make a loral crown for a school nativity. This is trickier than it looked haha. Thank you for spending some of your day with me. Crafty hugs and see you tomorrow Ellie x

A little happy post

Image
Hey!! I got some happy post today woo hoo! I recieved my Tombo Mono sand erasers that I ordered from Amazon UK. This is my first time buying these so am super excited to try them out, I have heard lots of good feedback from them. I shall let you know how I find them once I give them a try. Also this evening we put up and decorated the Christmas tree, I'm feeling festive. LOVE IT! My attempt at crafting today turning into a mess in my opinion, although I won't throw it out, I will look at it again tomorrow and see if I have a crafty idea. My Jack Russell journal page was looking good until I got the glitter out. I'm obsessed. First I used my bee crafty bubble wrap stamp, I inked it up with picked raspberry and broken China. I stamped all over my page and let it dry. Then something possessed me to use my cosmic shimmer glitter glue and apply loads of bronze glitter. I need to control myself. I buffed some of the glitter off and still wasn't thrilled. So I am g

My little spice jar

Image
Good Evening! Busy day here again today, I have had time to decorate this little spice jar I cleaned once it was empty. I haven't decided what will fit inside it yet. If you have any suggestions, drop me a comment. So once the jar was clean and dry, I painted it using Cosmic shimmer lustre paint and a sponge. Again once this was dry I could start decorating. So to start I used some pink ribbon and glued it around the jar using Collall all purpose glue. It's really strong adhesive. Then I decided to use some flowers for decoration, the flowers I use are Craft box flowers. This was the first time using them and I must say, the white ones I used, take colour very well. Also my wink of Stella pen was used.(LOVE IT)  So to colour I used my pink Spectrum Noir pink sparkle pen, I scribbled it onto my acrylic block and added a spray of water to it. I painted this onto each white flower and dried them. My wink of Stella glitter pen was then brushed over each dr

Getting ready for Christmas

Hello to you all, To start up our festivities the tree has been put up today. It's not decorated but it is up and the branches arranged until I was happy with it. Unfortunately I was unable to take part in WOYWW today as I have barely had a chance for a cuppa all day until now. I must say I'm happy to be sat on the sofa chilling now. I plan to TRY and fit some crafting in tomorrow and will post some pics of my efforts. Thank you for spending some of you day with me. Crafty hugs and see you tomorrow! Ellie x

Squeezing in crafting

Image
Heeey! So today has been utterly chaotic. So here is a couple of things I managed to squeeze in. The first one is the start of a journal page, the background is done using blue and cream raffia. Then in the gaps I stuck some mop up wet wipes which match the colours I have in mind. The Jack Russell image is from some junk mail. I have a JRT and love them, this page isn't finished but I plan to crack on with it tomorrow. The second and final item I started was this colouring book page, I will trim it down once complete. Thank you for spending some of your day with me. Crafty hugs and see you tomorrow for WOYWW. Ellie x

Pretty background, simple foreground...

Image
Happy Monday everyone! So for today's card topper I used a background I made in a previous blog post. So first I wanted to back my card topper onto a patterned paper. I chose a pink and purple design from my 'wild flower ' paper pad. I adhered my background to the paper using double sided tape. Next I selected a silhouette fairy stamp set I got gifted by a friend. I used the field wildflower strip along the bottom, I only needed to stamp it twice to achieve this. I used archival black ink for all my stamping. Then finished up with stamping the Fairy, fairy dust and sentiment. This is a rather generic sentiment so could be used for a birthday or thank you card. To complete my super fast card I used my Nuvo crystal drops in a pale pink, I used it on the top corners of my completed topper. Thank you for spending some of your day with me. Crafty hugs and see you tomorrow! Ellie x
