My little toilet roll, handbag size notebook.

Image
Good Afternoon Lovelies! So here is a step by step of how to make this little book with black pages. To begin I took a toilet roll and folded it flat, then cut along one side to open it out.   I used black gesso to paint the front and back. I misted the front with a shimmer mist. Next I cut some black cardstock to size.  Using a couple of stitches I sewed the pages into the spine of the booklet. To decorate I used some polka dot ribbon tape along the creases in the toilet roll cardboard. I adhered silver gems at opposite corners and finished up, with some drops either side of a black and white ribbon. I used cosmic shimmer glue for the details on the front. The finished product. I do hope you all give this a try. Cute, quick and easy! Thank you for spending some of your day with me! Crafty hugs! Ellie x

Happy Thursday everyone! This is a step by step of how I made my Nina Ribena Abstract theme entry. Product I used: Distress oxide "picked raspberry, seedless preserves and wilted voilet" Tattered angles chalkboard mister in purple Pebeo white acrylic paint Artistic flair stencil- distressed links Stamps by chloe- trellis patterned background stamp First edition wild flower paper pad Sizzix sidekick tag hole circle die Pebeo black gesso Cosmic shimmer violet shimmer paint. First I selected a piece of purple cardstock. Then smeared my oxide pad on my glass Mat. Sprayed the ink with water and smooshed my card stock into it. Then heat dryed. I used the mister next to cover the page with purple shimmer. (I'm shimmery too after this step :p ) Using white acrylic I used a sponge and dabbed the paint randomly through the stencil. With both my oxide colours I pressed areas on the stamp, again randomly across the page. The page so far... I

Good morning friends! Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday! If you wish to take part or have a look at some more desks, click here. So today's desk contains my latest project, I am making a grimoire. I've made the cover from thick board and covered it with faux leather. The inside pages I have inked and used different techniques on. This is very similar to a junk journal. I'm just waiting for my binding screws to arrive so I can assemble it. The last job will be filling all the pages with information. Thank you for spending some of your day with me. Crafty hugs ! Ellie
